  1. Hi Nick, great clip. I can see this being used to open up and set the scene for many KM presentations...

  2. Beautiful look, standard explanation.
From a marketing point of view, if something unusual could be added, it will be better.

For example, "How to do KM 5000 years ago?-in fact the technology is already available at that time, what lacks is always the idea, not the tools"

or "To increase the productivity of knowledge workers by 50 times is 21st century, is it possible?

  5. Hi,

The presentation may need one further step, an important one, which is to establish the urgency by linking the use of KM to organizational survival. Or, explain why KM is "the urgent and absolutely necessary means" helping an organization do so.

The presentation already opens their curiosity, but how to turn the initial curiosity into action requires a further explanation.

    Best wishes

  6. Anonymous, you say that like it's a bad thing! Most senior managers are quite nostalgic for the 80s!

  7. Thanks Nick, great giveaway.

    Two minor points

    1. you specify retirement and although it is very topical, perhaps you could instead refer to "moving on" or something more general term, and give retirement as an example.
    2. Although you mention it indirectly after the five things you say KM delivers, you don't mention Intellectual Property. I would say that KM underlies patents, copyright, trade secrets, and all the other components of IP and IC that make up 80% of market cap left over when you deduct physical assets and cash.

  8. Right messages, wrong presentation mode. You need to jazz it up!

  9. It's a useful presentation if you want to invite interest and questions, which I suppose is why you hae done it like that. I can see it opening a KM conference or something similar, or a company annual conference who are looking at new ideas and innovation.

I did find the music a little irritating after a while but that is a minor point.

  10. Was it this particular music, Rachel, or would any music have been irritating?
