It is both Connection and Collection, rather than "Collection = Bad" versus "Connection = Good". <br /><br />Collection without Connection may suffer from some of the issues you describe, while Connection without Collection suffers from long-term memory loss and from cycles of reinvention.<br /><br />Sure it's 2014 - but whether it was 2014, 2004 or 2024 the issues are still the same.
